Vitest

Built for Vite. It uses the same configuration as your build tool.

• Benefits: Blazing fast (HMR), native ESM support, compatible with Jest API (easy migration).

Conclusion

If you use Vite, use Vitest. It is a no-brainer. If you use Webpack or Next.js (historically), Jest might still be safer, but the gap is closing.
